Buckwheat Groats
Buckwheat groats is not a very well-known dish in Germany.
Travel just a few 100 km to the east though, and things look very different: in Russia or the Ukraine, buckwheat is prepared like rice and is then served as a ?main character? similar to a risotto or a side dish with meat and is a popular meal.
Preparation:
Sauté 250 g Seeberger buchwheat groats, add 1 l of water or stock and allow to swell for 40 minutes.
